SAFE CHURCH

Beachside Christian Church

Dated 15 February 2024

Statement of Commitment

It is Beachside Christian Church’s policy to respect everyone as unique individuals created by God, and to give special attention to the care, protection and wellbeing of vulnerable people.  Staff and Volunteers of Beachside Christian Church will behave towards them in a manner that resembles and represents Christ’s attitude and approach, providing environments and ministries that promote their spiritual, social and physical safety and personal growth and development.
To this end Beachside Christian Church will promote a culture of safety throughout the Church, constantly communicating and reinforcing our commitment across all aspects of Beachside Christian Church’s ministries and activities.
Queensland Baptists and Beachside Christian Church recognise the 10 National Principles for Child Safe Organisations.  They provide a nationally consistent approach to embedding child safe cultures within organisations that engage with children, and act as a vehicle to give effect to all Royal Commission recommendations related to child safe standards.   Therefore, Beachside Christian Church will have regard to these as guiding principles for cultivating a safe Church environment and safe activities.
